Logo Contest
New Kensington Weed and Seed Program Logo Contest
The New Kensington Weed and Seed Program is in need of a logo to represent the program. It is a program that relies heavily on community involvement to succeed in the effort to restore and revitalize our community. With that being said, it is important to us to involve the students of the New Kensington-Arnold School District in the creation of this logo. The main requirements of the logo are listed below.
Logo Requirements:
- The colors to be used in the logo are: Royal Blue, Navy and Burgundy. The logo will be used on our Web site using hexidecimal formatted colors of Royal Blue #404040, Navy and Burgundy #800000.
- The words “New Kensington Weed and Seed Initiative”, “Nurturing Community Growth” must appear in the logo.
- The logo should reflect that this is a community improvement program and include community and neighborhood images, but not give the idea that the program is related to gardening by using images of trees, plants, etc.
- The logo will need to be in digital format to use on our Web site and various printed items. The image size will need to be 195 x 147 pixels (including a border if a border is used) for use on the Web site.
The student that designs the winning logo will be rewarded with a $100 gift card, presented with a certificate from the Weed and Seed Program, and will be recognized in the local newspaper. The deadline for the logo submission is May 29, 2009.
